We are named on a mortgage with my parents at abbey national, but we are looking to move out and get our own mortgage but how do we go about getting our names taken off the mortgage? Will this cost anything? How long will it take?

Your best bet is to speak directly with Abbey. If you parents can easily show that they have the funds to service the mortgage it may be a rather simple process for you to be removed from contract.
