Review of Thurrock

Thurrock is a borough located in the East of England. The borough lies on the River Thames and boasts a population of approximately 146,000 people. The borough is home to ten sites of special scientific interest and 60 percent of the borough is protected Green Belt land.

Many people are attracted to the area for the Thameside Theatre, the Circus Tavern, and for the many museums and historic buildings. Shopping attractions include the Lakeside Shopping Centre that boasts two multiplex cinemas. Next to the shopping centre is a motor sports complex. There are also many opportunities to enjoy the land in its natural state including Langdon Hills Country Park and Grove House Wood.

Thurrock’s main industry is service oriented with manufacturing coming in a close second. There is very little agriculture in the area but agriculture does play a small role in Thurrock’s economy.
